Fixed Term – March 2024 with further extensions potentially until 2025
We are looking to recruit an experienced Business Support Officer who will be responsible for supporting all business-related functions associated with the successful operation of the Shared Prosperity Fund, Work & Skills projects. With a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of packages, experience of general office procedures and good IT skills are essential requirements of the role.
The successful post holder will be expected to familiarise themselves with the Shared Prosperity Fund projects, so they are able to act on their own initiative where appropriate. They will be responsible for providing general office administrative duties, answering first line participant queries, and providing an excellent customer focused service, in a result driven environment.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Responds to first line enquiries from customers or colleagues, managing the arrival of participants on site and sign posting effectively to the relevant activity and colleague.- Administration of Petty Cash and assist with associated payments.- Be the first point of contact when visitors arrive at the delivery locations, dealing with all aspects of enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.- Maintain the office job vacancies and training boards and work closely with the delivery team, to ensure the boards are renewed and kept current, over the course of the working week.- Collate “good news” stories, working closely with Employment Advisors, the Participant Engagement and Support Officer, and participants, liaise with DWP and other partners to ensure the programme runs successfully.- Assist the team in ensuring a high level of customer engagement or re-engagement and ensure participant records are maintained to reflect contact or attempted contact made.- Locates and extracts specified information from files, document and records as requested to support analytical or reporting requirements and to support quality and compliance within branch.- Any other ad hoc duties in line with delivery program requirements.
