Lliswerry High School is a thriving, multi-cultural, 11-18 mixed comprehensive school on the eastern side of Newport close to the M4. We currently have a superb opportunity
for a talented, passionate and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our school.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player who will work closely in the classroom under the direct instruction of the teaching/senior staff to support the delivery of teaching and learning.
It is anticipated that the person appointed will support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in the classroom.
You will have NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification. Patience, understanding, a caring attitude and the ability to provide support and build positive relationships is essential in this role.
Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors.
THIS POST REQUIRES YOU TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE EWC.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
