Class Teacher for our specialist base for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Start date 1st September 2025
An exciting, rewarding opportunity has arisen for a highly-motivated, creative and inspirational teacher to work in our new ASD Specialist Base at Llanwern High School. In joining
us you will work alongside a team of very supportive, friendly and highly-committed individuals. If you are passionate about teaching and feel you would be a good fit for our team, we would love to hear from you.
To apply for this post you will need:

Experience of working with pupils with ASD.

A secure knowledge of assessment and effective teaching practices in relation to pupils with ASD.

To be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of target setting and tracking progress of individual pupils to secure improvement.

Experience of working within a person-centred approach.
-
An insight into the emotional, social and behavioural development of the children who attend a Specialist Base.
