32.5hrs per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus Training Days)There is a whole school staff meeting until 4.45pm on Mondays
The governing body are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant that shares the Eveswell and Somerton Primary School vision, namely to support pupils to be respectful, safe and successful and to inspire pupils to achieve their best.
Eveswell and Somerton Primary schools currently hold the award for National Nurturing School. Experienced ELSAs (Emotional literacy support assistants) and strong ICT skills are desirable.
The successful candidate will
- have a proven track record of working successfully within primary phases and be prepared to work with either younger or older pupils- be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and resilient- nurture pupils to reach their full potential - will supervise whole classes during unplanned/short term absence of the class teacher - be committed to developing pupils as independent learners and thinkers - be a good communicator and team member, who is caring, flexible and approachable - be able to work collaboratively, contributing to teachers’ planning and the learning environment- be reliable and able to take responsibility
THIS POST REQUIRES YOU TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE EWC.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
