Duration: 12 months
Basis: Full time - 37 hours a week, rota basis over 7 days, with the appropriate release to undertake the apprentice qualification
Qualification to compete: NVQ in Business Administration Level 2 or Level 2 ICT (to be agreed on appointment)
We are looking to recruit a young person who will train and work in our car parking & enforcement team providing business and finance administration.
The role will provide the applicant with experience in business management, finance and accounting from data processing, income control, to assisting in legal enforcement and evidence gathering on behalf of the Council.
The service manages all the Councils car parks and provides the civil parking enforcement patrols to ensure patrons are parked legally in compliance with current traffic orders. Enforcement parking fines are issued against offenders and you will assist in monitoring, producing reports and analysis of income through to debt recovery.
You will assist in dealing with customer enquiries and liaise with colleagues, councillors and the general public both digitally and face to face.
Data entry and use of IT packages is a regular feature of this role and candidates should be IT literate, confident in the development of reports and records in support of the service.
Site visits will also be a requirement to monitor the levels of service we provide and to meet customers and clients to deliver a service they will require.
