Post No. HP1034 - Policy, Partnership & Involvement - Young Person Apprenticeship
Duration: 12 months
Basis: Full time - 37 hours a week, rota basis over 7 days, with the appropriate release to undertake the apprentice qualification
Qualification to compete: NVQ in Business Administration Level 2 or Level 2 ICT (to be agreed on appointment)
Newport City Council’s Policy, Partnership and Involvement team are looking to recruit a young person to work within the team for a period of 12 months.
This position represents a fantastic opportunity to develop important skills within the public sector, and a chance to contribute to the development of Newport City Council’s partnership, policy and equalities work.
The successful candidate will provide general administrative assistance as required including arranging and supporting meetings and events, handling telephone/email enquiries, basic word processing tasks, diary management, and providing basic financial support. The role will also include supporting senior officers working on the city’s Well-being Plan. You will play a role in maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, service providers and partner organisations.
Newport City Council is looking for an enthusiastic young person to undertake an NVQ in Business Administration Level 2, whilst working in our role.
