To Cover Long Term Sickness
Part Time (Weekdays 7.00 am – 9.30 am and 2.45 pm - 6.15 pm)

Ysgol Bryn Derw are seeking to appoint a caretaker to work 30 hours a week between 7.00 am - 9.30 am, and 2.45 pm – 6.15 pm Monday to Friday, for 52 weeks per year. Holidays are to be taken during school holiday periods. The post exists due to a long term absence that we anticipate will last around 6 months, the post will come with a 4 week notice period.
Ysgol Bryn Derw opened in September 2017 for young people aged 3-19 who have been diagnosed with ASD. The school has 68 school places and aims to provide the highest possible standards of education and support for all its pupils regardless of their level of educational need. We are looking for a committed caretaker who will thrive on this exciting opportunity and who will be able to engage with and work alongside the specific needs of the pupils in this specialised setting.
The Governing Body are committed to appointing a caretaker who:
* Has good literacy and numeracy skills* Has good communication skills* Has experience of caretaking or experience of premises management, building cleaning or building maintenance* Is flexible* Is able to use own initiative* Is able to carry out general repairs* Is able to lift and carry heavy items* Has excellent interpersonal skills* Is able to manage own work effectively
