Post No. SSCF0019 - Social Worker - Child Protection & Family Support Team 2
We are looking to recruit two Social Workers to join our Child Protection and Family Support Team.
The posts will be available from July 2021.
You will be responsible for the long term care planning of children and hold a case load that includes working with Care and Support plans, Children on the Child Protection Register and those subject to Court proceedings including adoption You will have good assessment skills and the ability to engage with service users effectively, with a focus on the safety and wellbeing of children. You will be skilled in developing and sustaining effective multi-agency working across a range of professional groups.
You will be highly motivated, focused on providing high quality, timely and effective assessments with children and families and have good organisational and time management skills. You will be part of a highly supportive environment and have good access to training and development opportunities.
For this role you will be a practitioner with a professional social work qualification, Social work degree, Masters in social work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and deliver a quality service to meet the assessed needs of children and young people.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
This post requires you to be registered with Social Care Wales (SCW).
