Job information
Volunteer Dog Walker - Newport City Dogs Home
Volunteers Needed
Newport City Council’s Stray Dog’s Team are looking for volunteer dog walkers. Walkers will be responsible for exercising stray or unwanted dogs from Newport City Dogs Home Stephenson Street Newport.
We are looking for people with:
• A keen interest and preferably experience
with handling dogs and a commitment to dog walking.
• Ability to be flexible and enjoy being outside.
On the job training will be given by the council's Kennel Assistants and Dog Walking Team.
Dog Leads and poop bags will be issued and you should wear sensible clothing that is suitable for being outdoors in all weathers including sturdy walking shoes or boots.
