We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivating individual who is passionate or looking for a career in IT technical support.
Our ideal candidate will:
- To assist and support the IT Support Team.
- To respond to staff and students that need
IT and AV support.
- Setup IT hardware and perform troubleshooting of IT equipment.
- To communicate effectively with staff, outside professionals and agencies.
- Be willing to undertake further development and training as deemed appropriate to the role.
Newport High is an 11-18 comprehensive school with 1060 on roll including a Sixth Form of 160+. In 2009, we moved into a £28 million state-of-the-art new build which includes outstanding facilities teaching and learning.
We are working hard to improve learner outcomes. In 2017, 55% of students achieved at least 5 GCSEs at A* - C; 40% of learners achieved the Level 2 threshold including English and Mathematics. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (formerly CRB).
